Why dont car rental companies give driving tips?
On a recent road trip across mid west USA after renting with budget rental coupons, I got stuck a few times with not fully understanding the road requirements. There are certain things that a European does not need to orry about (like pulling over completely for emergency vehicles and school buses that have stopped).
Rental car companies should provide ‘tip-sheets’ to their renters to make sure they don’t fall full of the local road laws wherever they rent a car. It would have saved me some embarrassment and a very persuasive conversation with a police officer who was about to give me a ticket!
