In Texas Holdem, players place required antes and receive two down cards, which are hidden until the final showdown of hands. After the first two cards are dealt, there is a round of betting. Following the pokerstars rating betting, three community cards are turned over (the flop) at the same time. Another round of betting follows. Then a fourth community card (the turn card) is exposed. A round of betting follows. At this point, a fifth community card is dealt (the river card), and a final bet is placed. Players make their hands by using the best five-card combination of their two personal cards and the five community cards. A player may use one or both cards from their hand, or use just the five community cards.
