While waiting for my husband to pick up some items at one of those western supply stores that are a combination of hardware store, western ranch supply and discount store, I walked over where there is a selection of western tack. Not being a rancher, or a horseman, it fascinates me that there are all these items to use when you ride or care for horses. Some of the items are woven from beautiful, durable ropes; some are made of fine leather, and all of them seem to have some shiny metal hardware loop, buckle or clasp. I have no idea what most of them are used for, but I was entertained by them for nearly a half an hour while my husband picked up his supplies.
