My sister and I were name co-executors of my grand dad’s estate she is an accountant and I have a medical degree.  When we first read the will and found out that were going to settle gad dad’s estate we both were honored.  We soon found out that we had a lot of work to do. Appraising all of grand dad’s  assets including a massive coin collection was a huge task.  One of the resources we found most useful was a website called EstateSettlement.com When you settle an estate through the probate process the executors assume a potential legal and financial risk. (they can be sued if the make an important mistake).  Even though we are very educated we still didn’t know squat about probate and estate settlement. The website helped us out a lot.
