My father passed away suddenly on a trip to Asia.  It was a nightmare to return him home to the U.S.  and arrange all the funeral arrangements. When we had to find a probate attorney for the estate I decided to use a different tactic.  I decided against using the phone and yellow pages to find a probate attorney I decided to just use the Internet.  When I entered Google search Find a probate attorney I found a website called EstateSettlement.com and within the website they have a directory service to find a probate attorney.  The directory listing had all the information I needed to find an probate attorney who I felt comfortable with. I was able to use e-mail a lot with the attorney which allowed me more effectively use my time and deal with my grief.  If you have to find a probate attorney you may wish to use the same strategy.
