Biometric are now quite a popular way for keeping security in all sorts of government and corporate settings. They are now also affordable enough for most middle class people to purchase. Biometrics technology could be used to safeguard information on all sorts of things. For instance, there are  Biometric Usb  drives that allow access to the files only if certain people use them. There are also biometric usb devices that allow any computer to process all sorts of biometric information (depending on the hardware of course). This can allow transactions over computer networks to be conducted with an extra level of security not usually possible with other traditional systems.
