Today’s Designs
When you look at the design of today’s homes, they are very different from yesteryear. The furniture of the modern era is very straight lined and usually made of metal and/or glass. When looking at coffee tables, I found them to be very cold and business-like.
You have to realize that I was raised with the old-style, traditional type of table. It was made from wood and dark in color. The lines were anything but straight! The legs were curved and carved. This represents a warm, homey feeling to me, because it represents home. Maybe someday I will switch, but not in the near future.
