Roof Windows Saved Lives When A Fire Occured
We were recently watching the news when in came a breaking story about an apartment fire. As they panned the building they showed several people in the attic level of the apartment building where the storage was. I thought that these people were in big trouble when they started opening up windows on the roof. As it happens the building owner had installed roof windows that could be used as fire escapes just for that eventuallity. They led to a railing and ladders that allowed all of those people to escape unharmed. I think that having those installed was a pretty smart thing for the property manager to do.
