Alcohol Abuse, Addiction, and Poor Life Skills
Why do some people gravitate toward many forms of abuse and addiction? For instance I know one young man who is addicted to smoking cigarettes, chewing tobacco, mountain dew, marijuana, pain pills, and alcohol. In observing this young man, I have noticed that he possesses very poor money management skills, coping skills, decision-making skills, work skills, and general life skills.
When a person fails to act responsibly in one of more aspects of his or her life, sooner or later life has a way of making a person pay for his or her irresponsibility. Not only does this young man need to go to an alcohol abuse center for his drinking, but he also needs to get professional help for his other dependencies and dysfunctional behaviors as well.
