I didn’t think this week would ever be over.  Didn’t realize how boring life was before video games.  It seems more like a month since my mom grounded me and took away my Nintendo DS because I got caught playing Chinatown Wars DS in class.  I don’t think the punishment fit the crime because it happened during study hall and not an actual class.  I even used that argument on Mom, but she wasn’t having any of it.  Last night I got “the speech” from her about how if I wanted to have privileges that I had to earn them by proving that I am responsible and I had better never play with my DS during class again.  And for good measure she added that if my grades drop because I am neglecting my homework, I will lose my DS for a month the next time.  I love it when she goes on a rant!
