Valuation for a Totaled Car
I was looking at a totaled car from an accident. There was far too much damage to repair. The other driver’s insurance company gave me a very low offer for the settlement. I decided to fight it. I looked at getting one of those car appraisals. The appraiser came out and considered everything that was in the car including the modifications that I have made, and how much they would be worth to a used car buyer that was looking for a modified car. I gave the appraiser’s report to the insurance company who was a lot more willing to cut a check at the higher valuation.
